App Agency

A good app just feels natural to use. We build mobile applications your users actually enjoy – with the right backend included.

Sound familiar?

  • You have an idea for an app but no clear path from idea to finished product.
  • Your customers expect an app, and the mobile browser no longer cuts it.
  • An existing app is outdated, slow or no longer maintained.

Then a conversation is the fastest route to an assessment.

What we do - What we build for you with App Development

  • iOS apps with SwiftUI

Native apps that fit right into the Apple ecosystem and feel genuinely fast.

  • Cross-platform apps

One codebase for iOS and Android when you want to serve both platforms efficiently.

  • App backends

The invisible backbone: user management, data sync and push notifications – built on Laravel.

  • Maintenance and development

Updates for new operating system versions, new features and ongoing support.

Native or cross-platform?

Native development – with SwiftUI for iOS, for example – gives you the best performance and full access to every device feature. Cross-platform approaches share one codebase for iOS and Android, which saves time and budget.

We help you weigh both honestly against what you are building – and we plan the backend from day one, so app and server work together smoothly.

The decision depends less on the technology than on what you are building. If the app needs deep access to the camera, Bluetooth, background location or unusual gestures, native is the more honest choice. If it is essentially an interface to data from your system – jobs, stock, forms – cross-platform saves noticeable budget without users spotting a difference. We tell you upfront which category your case falls into.

Something many people underestimate: the App Store is not hosting, it is a review process. Apple rejects submissions regularly, and rarely for technical reasons – usually for missing privacy declarations, unclear account deletion, forced login without justification, or screenshots that do not match the app. We handle the submission including those formalities and know where it tends to snag. That we have our own app in the store, the WebDAV Browser, is not a marketing detail here – it is why we know the process.

An app is also never finished. iOS and Android ship a new major version every year, and anything that does not keep up eventually breaks on new devices or falls out of the store. So plan the app as a running system with an annual maintenance budget, not as a one-off project. That is the line item missing from quotes most often.

Honestly

When we advise against it

Not every enquiry belongs with us. These are the ones we turn down in the intro call – here they are upfront, so you can skip the call.

  • Content people could just as well read in a browser

Then a website or web app is the cheaper route – no store review, no yearly maintenance obligation.

    Better fit: Web Development
  • No budget for ongoing maintenance

iOS and Android ship a new major version every year. Fall behind and you eventually drop out of the store.

  • An app that essentially shows your website in a frame

Apple's review rejects that regularly – guideline 4.2 requires functionality of its own.

What fits you - Three shapes – and what each one is good for

Pick the shape that matches your situation – the price is right there, so you never have to ask for it. It is a ballpark figure; your binding quote comes after a short conversation. If you would rather work it out yourself, use the package configurator: put together what you need there and see your price range right away.

What the price depends on

We bill custom projects transparently by the hour. After a free intro call you get an honest estimate from us here in Bavaria – so you know where you stand before anything starts.

From practice - Situation, solution, outcome

Situation, solution, result – that is how we work. The projects are described anonymously for confidentiality.

Service business running on appointments

Ausgangslage
Appointments were booked over the phone and no-shows went unnoticed – a lot of effort and plenty of gaps in the calendar.
Lösung
A booking app built as a focused MVP: book and reschedule appointments, automatic push reminders, lean Laravel backend.
Ergebnis
The confirmation callback is gone, and a cancelled slot becomes bookable again immediately without anyone freeing it up in the calendar by hand.

Company with a field service team

Ausgangslage
The field team recorded jobs on paper and everything was retyped back at the office – a media break with transcription errors included.
Lösung
A cross-platform app with offline support and a Laravel backend: jobs, photos and signatures are captured right on site.
Ergebnis
The paper shuffle is gone: jobs arrive in the office digitally, with nobody retyping them.

Who builds this?

You work directly with Marcel

At Viovenia your project is not passed between rotating teams – it is built directly by Marcel, senior software engineer. You talk to the person who writes your code, from the first call to running in production. No project-manager loop, no ticket ping-pong.

How we work - Five steps to your project

Transparent and free of stress – that is how working with us goes. More about our process.

  1. 01

    Intro call

Half an hour where you describe the project and get concrete questions back. It ends with a first read on feasibility and rough size – including when that read is “not worth it”.

  2. 02

    Concept & quote

In writing, with scope, the technology involved, the assumptions behind it and what is explicitly not included. Split into “needed at launch” and “can come later”, so the scope stays negotiable.

  3. 03

    Development in stages

After each stage there is something usable on a test environment, not just a status report. Change requests go in where they are cheapest: before the next stage starts.

  4. 04

    Launch

Before going live: a run through the core workflows, a backup concept, monitoring switched on. Afterwards you get access, source code and documentation handed over in full, not on request.

  5. 05

    Operation

Updates, monitoring and further development – as fixed care or on call. No minimum term: what keeps you should be the work, not the contract.

Frequently asked - Questions about App Development

What does developing an app cost?
A focused MVP app starts at from €7,900, a full business app for iOS and Android including the backend at from €14,900. What drives the price is scope, platforms and design – after a joint concept session you get an honest estimate.
Native app or cross-platform?
If you need maximum performance and deep device features, native is often the better call. If you want to serve iOS and Android on one budget, cross-platform usually makes more sense. We advise you based on what you are trying to achieve.
Do you publish the app to the stores as well?
Yes. We take you all the way into the App Store and Google Play – from setting up the developer accounts to getting through review.
How long until the app is in the store?
For a first market-ready version, budget eight to fourteen weeks of development, plus Apple's review. That usually takes a few days but can drag on if something is flagged. The most common rejection reasons are not technical: missing privacy declarations, no way to delete an account, forced login without necessity. We prepare those points in advance so the first submission goes through.
What does an app cost to run?
Alongside support from €149/month, Apple's developer program costs around 99 US dollars a year, plus hosting for the backend. More important than the amounts is the principle: iOS and Android ship a new major version annually, and an app that is not kept up eventually breaks on new devices or falls out of the store. Planning for that costs less than postponing it.
Do you build apps for clients outside Bavaria?
Yes. App projects run remotely – we work with clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Concept workshops happen by video call, or on site if you prefer.
